Damn you LJ. This is the third time I am attempting to write this entry.
I didn't do much over break, although I did sleep in a lot and snuggle with Kayla. :) On a particularly nice day, I took out my bike for a couple of hours on the Greenway. Here are some examples of why they call it Forest Hills:
It was also nice to see Keren (http://pookusmcveigh.wordpress.com), who's in from Israel for a short time. And my Mom's 60th birthday party was yesterday. Photos to come later on, possibly.
And tomorrow, it's back to work...sigh.

I like that she gave me a big princess skirt.
Last night, I saw Fanboys with some friends. It was better than I'd expected. Then we had a few drinks. Then I walked home from the subway in the bitter cold. Now I am in bed with coffee, pancakes, and Kayla, being a lazy bum. :)

i know it's been a while. i had to clear some junk out of my cameraphone so i could take more pictures. i spent yesterday in the city. after a meeting at the UFT building near ground zero for "Clinicians Appreciation Day" (frankly, a day without pay for speakers, bagels and coffee doesn't exactly say "appreciation" to me) I decided to walk up Broadway to meet my sister in Union Square for dinner. On the way, I saw a few interesting shops, including:
I wonder if it's owned by the same people who own Winegasm in Astoria. :P
Then I met up with my friend Christina at an art show her friend was hosting. It was a long day, but a fun one. Felt like the weekend. It was weird to return to work this morning.

Tonight I went to dinner in Astoria with Keren's friend Jill. It was really nice to hang with a cool girl since most of my friends are gone now. Anyway, this place Balu had some real fires in the wall, and a fake fire behind a screen with running water. Here's one of the real fires:
There were these loud douchey guys in suits being loud and douchey and we were grumbling about them. Then the waitress came over with these desserty drinks that they had bought for us. So we were nice and said thanks and cheers and then turned around ASAP. Here they are:
One is PB&J and one is Vanilla somethingorother. I forgot.
My hands are all scratched up from my damn cat. Damn her!

Last updated 70 weeks ago! OK...wow. So the reason I am posting on here is that my friend Annika has convinced me to take a photo daily and blog about it. I took my photo (with my phone, since I don't have a real camera) and am glad to see that since I last logged into this site, they have added a nifty little "Insert Image" feature. So, here it is:
What you see here, if it has uploaded correctly, is my bedroom window - what I see every afternoon when I come home from work, lay on my bed, have a snack and play online Scrabble, and pet my cat.
What a thrilling life I lead!
